SFP Transceiver Modules with RJ45 copper from PLANET
SFP modules with RJ45 connectors are special in that they do not establish a fiber port but a normal copper port in the LAN network switch. If not all SFP slots are required for fiber connections, additional TX ports can be added to the PLANET LAN network switch with the RJ45 SFP modules as a "reserve". PLANET Technology's RJ45 SFP modules are available with various cable qualities, including Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a. Cat5e cables offer transmission speeds of up to 1 Gbps at distances of up to 100 meters. Cat6 cables offer transmission speeds of 10 Gbit/s at distances of up to 55 meters, while Cat6a cables enable transmission speeds of 10 Gbit/s at distances of up to 100 meters.
