Industrial Device Server from serial to copper cable (TX) from PLANET

The connection of serial (end) devices to the LAN via normal Ethernet copper cable is the most common application of serial device servers from PLANET. The communication with the end device is almost always done via a virtual COM port installed by driver on the network PC. Via this e.g. COM3: port the dialog with the device then takes place in the same way as with a physical connection via RS232/RS422/RS485. Often a connection via dedicated network ports (sockets) is also possible. In addition, the industrial device servers are equipped with a variety of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP and Telnet. This creates the possibility for easier integration of serial devices into networks and more seamless communication.
In addition, the device servers offer a wide range of configuration options from serial to TX (copper). They support a serial baud rate of up to 921.6 kbps and can also adjust data bits, parity, stop bits and flow control. This allows for optimal configuration for a variety of applications.
To ensure a high level of security within the network, the device servers are additionally equipped with security functions such as SSL, SSH and HTTPS. The equipment of the device servers from serial to TX from PLANET comes with up to 4 serial ports and 2 LAN ports, with a supply voltage of 9 ~ 48V.
