Industrial 4G/5G/Wireless Router from Planet

Planet offers a wide range of devices for rack-mount (19") or DIN rail in the area of Layer 3 level (routers). The device base consists of at least 8-24 Gigabit twisted pair ports. It can be extended by several SFP slots, which support 1.0 / 2.5 or 10Gigabit SFP transceivers depending on the device type.

Planet Routers have extensive Layer 2 functions such as VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q) , QoS (IEEE 802.1p) or port/MAC authentication (IEEE 802.1x). In addition, redundant functions such as LACP, STP and ring redundancy, RIPv2, IPv4 OSPFv2 as well as IPv6 OSPFv3 complete the layer 3 functionalities of the Planet routers.

What are the functions of an Planet Router in a network?

Routers connect different networks or network segments. They establish Internet connections and are responsible for the security of accesses.

Depending on the type of connections, Planet offers both 4G/5G mobile routers and cable routers with WAN/PPPoE port. The routers have extensive cyber security features such as SPI firewall, content filter, VPN and VLAN. A redundant power supply, metal housing, as well as an extended temperature range from -40°C to +75C° ensure a durable and stable use of the routers in industrial environments.
