Industrial LAN Extender with Long Reach over COAX-Cable from PLANET

With a 75 Ohm coax cable and the paired use of a Long Reach PoE injector and a Long Reach LAN PoE extender from PLANET, a LAN connection from e.g. an IP camera to the network switch can be extended considerably. The maximum distance of the point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connection without PoE is up to 1000m, with PoE (802.3af) max. 400m or with PoE+ (802.3at) max. 200m. The Long Reach over Coax Cable (LRC) extenders use the existing coaxial cabling to transmit the LAN signal over a long distance, achieving high data rates of up to 100Mbps. In addition, installation is simple and requires no additional cabling, saving time and costs.

When is Long Reach over Coax (LRC) used?

The technology Long Reach over Coax (LRC) is used when longer distances have to be transmitted via Ethernet signals that cannot be covered by conventional Ethernet cables.

Long Reach over Coax is particularly useful if coax cables have already been laid on site. This is because LRC technology uses the existing coax cable infrastructure, which means that no additional cables need to be laid. This in turn saves time and costs.
