Managed & Unmanaged
LAN Networking Switches
LAN Networking Switches are the backbone of your industrial network and are indispensable for networking your machines, controllers and PCs. The portfolio of switches includes low-cost "unmanged" switches as well as "manageable" switches, which offer extensive configuration options such as VLAN, port security or redundancy mechanisms. Both switch types are available in a variety of variants, which differ in number of ports, design and mounting type.
4G / 5G / Wireless Router
Routers are the link in your industrial network and offer versatile application scenarios. A classic application example is the connection of a network segment to the Internet in which the router represents the interface. But also the connection of globally distributed production sites or single production cells at one site is a typical application example for one or more routers. In addition to the coupling of different network segments, the protection of the communication paths is also one of the main tasks of a router.
Modbus Gateways
In this section you will find a selection of protocol gateways which convert the process data between the ModbusRTU and ModbusTCP protocol. Protocol converters are often used when existing systems with serial interface have to be implemented into the network in the course of a renewal of the network infrastructure. Protocol converters are a cost-effective alternative compared to a new acquisition, which is usually associated with additional configuration effort.
Media Converter
Media converters convert an electrical data signal from twisted pair cable to an optical signal (fiber optic cable), and are used when larger distances between two devices or trades must be realized. Depending on the media converter, different fiber optic interfaces (multimode / singlemode) are available, which can increase the maximum transmission distance from approx. 100m with twisted pair cable to several kilometers. The maximum transmission distance via fiber optic cable results from the selection of the fiber optic type as well as the transmission speed.
Serial Device Server
With a device server serial devices with a RS232/422/485 interface can be integrated into an existing Ethernet network. Another advantage is that the device server allows several network nodes to access the serial device (e.g. printer) instead of only one node, which was previously connected directly to the device.

Most network devices such as switches, routers and media converters have, in addition to the permanently installed RJ45 connection ports, SFP slots that can be used to create additional interfaces in the form of fiber optic uplinks or additional RJ45 connection ports.
